I love talking about the work that excites me - and especially love to share the stories of the amazing (and often forgotten) women who I have included in my recent books.

My main talks are about:

  • the history and role of women in comedy,

  • some of the amazing women from Bristol’s history (tailored to your area/subject),

  • why women’s stories have been hidden from history and how we can reclaim them.

I also have experience of chairing panel debates, interviewing authors/filmmakers at festivals or screenings, and much more.

If you would like me to talk somewhere (eg your book group, library, workplace, ideas or literature festival, Women's Institute etc), please let me know. You can easily get in touch with me via the Contact tab and I would be pleased to discuss dates, rates and more.

Your talk was most interesting and your enthusiasm for women to be heard carried through. Sometimes speakers are not so good although the subject is interesting but you were spot on, Jane.

Thanks so much for giving such a brilliant talk today. What a great event! I wondered if we could perhaps get you back?!
